Background:
It’s great to learn project management by applying its methodologies onto a project that carries out digital innovation!
We are going to propose a technology-infused product or service/ system in healthcare you are going to project-manage with. Assume your project is developed for venture capitalists—the investors who have the fund you need, yet have no knowledge or expertise regarding your proposed technology project or service.
They only have “laypeople†commonsense. So, this work is the vehicle to illustrate, explain, and justify your project using project management methodology.
Provide verifiable and convincing information when appropriate; do not take anything for granted. When unsure, explain and justify it.
Being able to articulate our innovative ideas to the audience will not only help to fund the project from investors, but also help to “sell†technology product or service to the market. This helps us to learn the skills required for project management success.
Brainstorm and select a unique technology product /service in healthcare, which you are going to project-manage with, that has a market or user need, in the context of the project scope. Within this context, the following methodologies will help you to achieve your project management success:
Project Charter is the document that “recognize the project existence and provides direction on project objectives and management. It also authorizes the project manager to use resources to complete the project.â€
Format
Length: minimum 4 pages (11.5 font, 1.5 line-spacing), not including reference. All work should be contained in one single file to be submitted. Anything non-original needs to be cited: including in-text citations and reference at the end. Follow APA Style.
Required: please develop the following:
- Backgrounds/ Introduction of the proposed digital innovation project:
Why the project is being developed, and what niche or unique opportunity it targets at—because there are many other qualified competitors after all. That is, to appeal to investors, how to justify your project as a special one, and how/why only you have the capability for this uniqueness? It helps to compare it with similar products/services to demonstrate the uniqueness of your proposed project. Include strategic narrations how and why this project will be an ideal vehicle for “your organization†(suppose you
operate as a business) to carry out its objectives. Refer to Chapter 4 related materials for guidance such as strategy planning/ project selection, etc.
2. Develop project charter (following Table 5-2 as the template)

- Feel free to use figurative names for all personnel
- Also, add justifications/explanations to the following items: milestone, budget information, project objectives, success criteria, approach, and personnel roles and responsibilities

Full Marks All needed requirements are completed. Identify needed number (if any) of concepts from the course materials and provide clear and correct explanations. Writing shows a clear logical link between those concepts to chosen systems. The relevancy is well justified using credible reference such as academic journal articles or professional publications. Synthesize information from multiple sources (for example, lectures, readings, activities, etc.) and derive a conclusion in your own words. The terminology used is clearly defined. Required format is followed. For any non-original content, in-text citations are references are well incorporated. Notes: – Submission length satisfies required minimum word count. – A part of points will be taken off for each criterion not met. – A late submission will be subjected to 10% point reduction each day for 3 days. Passing 3 days no points will be available.
