Detailed description of each technology and how it works, math homework help

Assignment 1….Select a grade level 1-8 and a corresponding standard from Common Core State Standards for Mathematical Content on Problem Solving.

Select a learning target and use the provided class profile to design activities related to problem solving

Assignment 2….. Design a PowerPoint presentation demonstrating two types of technology that can be used to enhance math instruction. The presentation should cover an area described in your textbook reading for this week. Technology incorporated could include be apps, computer programs, videos, websites, etc.

Your presentation must be between 7-10 slides in length, and include the following with presenter’s notes:

  • A detailed description of each technology and how it works.
  • An explanation of how technology pieces align to standards.
  • A completed technology form for each technology (located in the online classroom resources).

Assignment 3…….For this benchmark, you will be creating a week-long unit (five individual lessons) on math integrated with literacy, based on a Common Core mathematics domain, standard, and cluster you have not addressed in previous assignments in this course, thematically linked to a grade-level text exemplar found at http://www.corestandards.org/assets/Appendix_B.pdf.

Select a 1-8 grade level for which to design your unit, then use the “Class Profile” as background information on your students and use the Lesson Plan template for each of the five lesson plans.

In your unit, design the five lesson plans so they:

  1. Develop students’ abilities to use the major concepts and procedures that define numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, and/or data analysis and probability. Also, incorporate problem solving, reasoning and proof, communication, connections, and representation.
  2. Integrate English language arts concepts to help students successfully apply their developing skills to different situations, materials, and ideas.
  3. Incorporate student use of digital tools and resources.
  4. Differentiate instruction based on the needs of students in the class.
  5. Use a combination of instructional strategies (outlined below) that are best suited for each lesson and student.

Though it is not necessary to use all six of the strategies below, each chosen strategy should provide opportunities for all students to succeed.

  • Direct instruction
  • Indirect instruction
  • Collaborative learning
  • Experiential learning
  • Independent study
  • Interactive instruction

Along with the unit, submit a 250-500-word rationale that explains your reasoning behind your instructional strategies and choices.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
