Choice Reaction Time Experiment (Statistics)
Choice Reaction Time Experiment (Statistics)
My simulated research idea investigates whether caffeine has an effect on reaction time during a choice reaction time experiment. I hypothesized that caffeine could cause a reduction in reaction times and increase alertness in a reaction time task.
100 participants are recruited – 50 males and 50 females. I made up the scenario that they took the choice reaction time task, once with no coffee and once after they drink coffee…
Simulated data attached.
- Please determine what statistical method is the best for my hypothesis (Pearson’s correlation or t-test).
- Use the statistical method to draw a clear conclusion/ correlation
- Describe how you used the method.
